Theory test revision and practice
https://www.gov.uk/theory-test/revision-and-practice
Use this to revise the official topics for the multiple-choice part of the test. Main areas: Highway Code, traffic signs, and driving basics.Hazard perception test
https://www.gov.uk/theory-test/hazard-perception-test
This explains the hazard perception part. The key idea is a developing hazard — something that makes the driver need to slow down, stop, or change direction.
What they need to achieve
The multiple-choice part checks knowledge of the Highway Code, road signs, and safe driving basics.
The hazard perception part uses 14 video clips.
You score by spotting the hazard as soon as it starts to develop.
You only pass if you do well in both parts.
Car maintenance overview
On real cars, we’ll be showing the basic checks drivers should do before a journey, and the simple maintenance areas that keep a car safe and roadworthy.
That includes:
checking lights and indicators
looking at tyre condition and tyre pressure
making sure brakes and steering feel normal
checking mirrors, windows, and general visibility
making sure seat belts work and the cabin is clear
looking for warning lights on the dashboard
making sure loose items are secured before driving
We’ll keep it simple and safety-first. Anything that needs tools, jacking, wheel removal, or a proper repair stays with a qualified adult or mechanic.

Notes
Keep the theory part short and interactive.
Use road scenes or clips to talk through hazards.
Make the car maintenance section practical and hands-on, but only where it’s safe.
Focus on awareness, safety, and good habits rather than turning it into a full mechanics lesson.
